Rule 9
Renewal of Trade Unions

(1) A trade union registered under Rule 4, 6 and 8 shall comply with Section 7A of the Act. Three months before the expiry of the mentioned period, an application for renewal should be submitted to the registrar along with the fee as per Schedule-7.
(2) A trade union that cannot submit an application for renewal within the period as per sub-rule (1) shall refer to Section 7A of the Act. An application can be submitted to the registrar along with an additional twenty-five percent of the fee for renewal within the specified period.
(3) If the application for renewal is not given within the period as per sub-rule (2), the tax authority shall give notice for renewal to such trade union within fifteen days after the expiry of that period.
(4) The trade union that receives the notification under sub-rule (3) shall comply with Section 7A of the Act. Within six months after the expiry of the mentioned period, an application can be submitted to the fifth official along with an additional fifty percent of the renewal fee.
(5) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rules (3) and (4), before the commencement of this rule, section 7A of the Act. The trade union whose period has expired shall be notified by the registrar for renewal within fifteen days of the initiation of this rule and the trade union that receives such notice may submit an application to the registrar along with an additional fifty percent of the renewal fee within three months of the initiation of this rule.
(6) In relation to the application submitted in accordance with sub-rule (1), (2), (4) or (5), the registration officer will have to renew the trade union if it is found to be in order.
(7) The registration of a trade union which does not apply for renewal within the period referred to in sub-rule (4) or (5) shall not be maintained.
